Miguel Tendillo, a Valencia CF ambassador, told VCF MEDIA about the current situation for the team, who under caretaker coach Voro will look to win against Real Valladolid on Sunday.
Voro's role
“In moments that are a bit more difficult, the best person to take over is somebody who is around the team. Voro is the right choice, because of the closeness he has with the players and because of the way he is.”
The need to improve
"We have a much better team than the situation we are in suggests. It's a matter of managing the group and sometimes reinforcing those little dips that we have in midfield and up front."
Rejuvenation with a change of coach
“The dressing room is going to be united with Voro. In these four matchdays following a change of coach, the squad will be rejuvenated and everyone wants to contribute -because they see possibilities to play and get more minutes than before.”
The role of the ambassadors
“The times in which we have met with the players, the willingness they have had has always been important -and also the commitment they show in every game.”
His own experience
“I have had the opportunity to experience situations like this during my eight seasons playing for the club. On the inside, what a player wants is to see that support. Winning the next game can give us peace of mind and help us for those games that come later. There is still a margin to finish the season in a much more comfortable position.”
